Garcia & Associates PL values its customers and is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information. In keeping with that philosophy, our office has developed a Privacy Policy, set out below, which will ensure the continued protection of your nonpublic personal information and inform you about the measures Garcia & Associates PL takes to safeguard said information.
Who is covered?
We provide our Privacy Policy to each borrower (or potential borrower) when they purchase (or our office is alerted of the possibility a borrower will purchase) an Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund, Inc. title insurance policy through our office. Garcia & Associates PL is an agent of Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund, Inc., one of the largest providers of title insurance in the State of Florida.
What information is collected?
In the normal course of business and in order to provide the necessary services to our borrowers, we may obtain non-public personal information directly from the borrower, from customer-related transactions, or from third parties such as our title insurance agents, your lender, the lender’s appraiser(s), land surveyors, or other similar entities associated with your transaction.
Who has access to your information?
Access to non-public personal information is limited to those employees who have a need to know in order to perform their jobs. These employees include, but are not limited to, those in departments such as pre-closing, post-closing, accounting, and legal. Only office staff which require your non-public personal information to process your file will be provided with such information.
Do we share your information?
Generally, Garcia & Associates PL will not share non-public personal information which it collects throughout the processing of your file with anyone other than those individuals necessary to complete the real estate settlement service and issue its title insurance policy as requested by the borrower or lender. Garcia & Associates PL may share non-public personal information as permitted by law with the entities with whom Garcia & Associates PL has a joint marketing agreement. Entities with whom Garcia & Associates PL has a joint marketing agreement have agreed to protect the privacy of our borrowers customers non-public personal information by utilizing similar precautions and security measures as Garcia & Associates PL uses to protect this information and use the information for lawful purposes. Notwithstanding, Garcia & Associates PL may share information as required by law in response to a subpoena, to government regulatory agency or to prevent fraud.
How do you secure my information?
Garcia & Associates PL, at all times, strives to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the personal information in its possession and has instituted measures to guard against its unauthorized access. We maintain physical (locking cabinets after hours, etc.), electronic (firewalls, etc.), and procedural safeguards in compliance with federal standards to protect that information.
